Kathy is the founder of Read Write Success and a practising MSL Education Specialist.

I have been a teacher for 30 years and have taught in primary schools in Queensland, UK and Victoria. 9 years ago my daughter was diagnosed with dyslexia which sparked my drive to find the best way to support students with Specific Learning Difficulties in Literacy – in particular dyslexia. After training in MSL with the Australian Dyslexia Association and becoming an AMADA (Associate Member of the Australian Dyslexia Association) I became an intervention specialist supporting students, parents and teachers. I am a strong advocate for dyslexia awareness and supporting students and their families.

I continue to provide support to students across the country online and face to face. I now call Hervey Bay home and am welcoming new students from the Fraser Coast for face to face or online sessions.

Ongoing professional learning is one of my passions and recently I participated in a 2 day Little Learners Love Literacy explicit phonics workshop.  At Read Write Success we are working on a Literacy Head Start Program for Kinder to Foundation.
